How ChathubMatch Handles Your Data
What we collect when you use ChathubMatch, what we use it for, and what you can ask us to do with it — in plain language.
Worth knowing up front: the biggest privacy factor on any video chat platform is not a database — it is what you show and say to the stranger on the other side, which they can capture with a second device no matter what we build. The Safety Center is the practical companion to this page.
1. What This Policy Covers
This policy covers the ChathubMatch website and product. Third parties we rely on — payment processors, analytics providers, hosting — handle data under their own policies, and sites we link to are not covered here.
2. What We Collect — As Little As Works
Information you give us
You can try ChathubMatch with no registration and no profile, which means many users hand us almost nothing. If you create an account, we hold the details you register with. If you buy coins, the payment is processed by our payment provider — we do not store your full card number. And if you write to support or file a report, we keep what you sent.
Information collected automatically
Running a web product generates technical data: your device and browser, IP address, general location inferred from network information, pages viewed, features used, and diagnostics when something errors.
Your camera and microphone
Live video and audio go to the person you are matched with, for the length of that conversation. Your browser asks for camera and microphone permission first, only when you are about to use them — granting it is your choice, every time.
Cookies
Cookies keep sessions working, remember preferences and help us understand usage. The full breakdown — and how to switch them off — is in the Cookie Policy.
3. Why We Use It
- To run the product — matching you, connecting the call, keeping the site up
- To process coin purchases and keep balances straight
- To keep the platform safer — reviewing reports, investigating abuse and fraud
- To fix what is broken and improve what is not
- To answer your support, privacy and legal requests
- To meet legal obligations
4. Who Sees What
The person you are matched with sees your camera and hears your microphone — that is the product working as intended. Beyond that, information may be shared with:
- Service providers running parts of the product — hosting, payments, analytics — under their own obligations
- Authorities, where the law requires it or where someone’s safety is at risk
- A successor, if the business or its assets ever change hands
Reports you file go to the review team. They are not passed to the reported user as a message from you.
5. How Long We Keep Things
Data is kept for as long as the purposes above need it — safety, fraud and billing records sometimes longer, where an obligation or a dispute requires it. Retention differs by data type, so rather than invent a single neat number, ask us about your specific case.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Camera and microphone — grant or revoke permission in your browser at any time
- Cookies — clear or block them in your browser settings
- What you share — no profile is required, so sharing less is always an option
- Blocking — stop any specific person from reaching you
- Access, correction, deletion — request these from support
Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights over your data. Write from the address on your account — we may need to verify you are the account holder first, because that check is what stops a stranger requesting your data.
7. Security, Stated Honestly
We take measures intended to protect data against unauthorised access, loss and misuse. But no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and anyone who claims otherwise is overselling. Protect your side: a unique password, and never share a verification code with anyone.
8. Changes and Contact
This policy changes as the product does, and material changes will be made visible where reasonably possible. Continued use after an update means accepting it.
Privacy questions and data requests go to support[at]chathubmatch.com — retype the [at] as a normal @; it is written that way to keep harvesting bots off it. General questions are welcome at ChathubMatch support.
